Artist in Residence and Intern, Franconia Sculpture Park, Shafer, Minnesota

April 2017 – July 2017

Create and install large-scale public artwork, create and manage project budget, source raw materials. Intern responsibilities included leading youth STEM and design workshops for a non-profit organization, assisting fellowship artists, and park/sculpture maintenance.

 

On Site Sculpture Installation, Chiodo Art, Napa, CA

Responsibilities include; installation of large-scale sculpture in commercial business, making scaled templates, prepping equipment/surfaces, trouble-shooting/problem solving installation methods, assisting scissor lift operations, safety oversight.

 

PR/Preparator Intern, Worth Ryder Gallery, Berkeley, CA

September 2016 – December 2016

PR Responsibilities include; Arts calendar management, creating press for upcoming shows and events, developing posters and flyers with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, broadcasting and publishing events to news outlets and local calendars in media, generating content for gallery Facebook page, and conducting interviews with artists.

Preparator responsibilities include; Construction of gallery display walls (framing and drywalling), building and repairing shelves and pedestals, hanging, packaging, storing, moving, unpacking, and installing artworks.  Training new interns on delicate handling procedures.

 

Research Assistant, University of Alaska Fairbanks

May 2016 – July 2016, Nepal

Collecting georeferenced population assessment data on bird species roosting and nesting in urban places across Nepal, specifically looking to identify birds nesting inside of shops and restaurants. I was a member of a small team of data collectors, working in conjunction with Falk Huettman, an adviser from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. We are currently working to synthesize the data using GIS and Machine Learning techniques.

Proficient in:  Drafting scaled project plans, construction/art geometry, joinery techniques, table saw, band saw, routers, jig making, jointer and planar, pneumatic tools, hand tools, steel fabrication, and stick welding.

Skilled painter using oils, acrylic, enamels, staining, and varnishing.

Experienced operating scissor lifts, and pallet jacks.
